The PADI Seal Team
What is the PADI Seal Team?
The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-
packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions. These
structured pool sessions cover new skills that help children learn
responsibility, teaches them about the aquatic environment and all in the
safety of the swimming pool with trained professional staff.
Who should take this program?
To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. No
prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be
comfortable in the water.me a fully qualified Junior PADI Open Water Diver.
What will you learn?
The PADI Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world. The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. Over 5 AquaMissions you will learn basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being
weightless. Each session takes about an hour. Successfully complete these AquaMissions and become a recognized PADI Seal Team Member. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you’re old enough to participate in the course.
To join the PADI Master Seal Team, PADI Seal Team members complete an additional 10 Specialty AquaMissions over three pool sessions and independently assemble and disassemble equipment. If you have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut, want to venture beyond basic scuba into wreck diving, navigation, buoyancy, environmental awareness and more, then the Master Seal Team is for you. Please note, these three pool sessions are in addition to the regular Seal Team price.
How can you start learning now?
Contact Red Duck Diving to enroll in the program and get started with a PADI Seal Team Crew-Pak. Your pak includes everything a PADI Seal Team Member needs to prepare for
AquaMissions including a fun video, activity book with puzzles, and log book pages to track your adventures.
How much does it cost?
The PADI Seal Team programme we provide costs £195 and includes:
a PADI Seal Team Crewpak including activity book, DVD and log pages,
entry to swimming pool for 5 sessions,
a full safety briefing,the use of all diving equipment,
a demonstration of the equipment used,
professional instruction and demonstration of all skills,
registration with PADI on successful completion (a passport-style photo required for
certification card). The PADI Master Seal Team program pool sessions are not
included in this price.
All they will need to bring is a swimming costume / shorts, a t-shirt to be worn in the pool for comfort and a towel. We will supply the rest including the fun!
What scuba gear will you use?
In the PADI Seal Team program, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank. If you want your child to have their own mask and snorkel for comfort, fit and to help build their confidence, let us know and we can advise you.
